This policy describes what data we collect when you use RustAPI Cloud, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how RustAPI Cloud ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use rustapi.cloud, api.rustapi.cloud, and deployed applications on our platform.
We are committed to collecting only what we need to operate the Service securely and transparently.
2. Information we collect
Account data (via GitHub OAuth)
- GitHub user ID and username
- Profile information GitHub makes available to authorized apps
- OAuth tokens required to complete sign-in (handled per GitHub policies)
Platform usage data
- Deployment metadata (project name, status, URLs, timestamps)
- Uploaded application binaries and runtime process metrics
- API request logs (IP address, user agent, endpoint, response status)
- Authentication events and issued JWT session identifiers
Technical data
- Browser cookies for web dashboard sessions
- Server and nginx access logs
- Error reports and health-check results
3. How we use information
We use collected information to:
- Authenticate users and authorize CLI and dashboard access
- Build, deploy, route, and monitor your applications
- Detect abuse, enforce policies, and maintain platform security
- Improve reliability, performance, and product experience
- Communicate important service or policy updates
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data retention
We retain account and deployment records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.
Application binaries and logs may be deleted when you remove a deploy or close your account, subject to backup and recovery cycles.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard safeguards including HTTPS everywhere, access controls, and isolated deploy processes. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact info@rustapi.cloud.
We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and may need to verify your identity.
9. International transfers
Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country. By using the Service, you consent to transfer and processing in those locations, subject to applicable data protection laws.
10. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided data and we will delete it.
11. Policy changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
